Webinar | Indonesia and the Amsterdam School #5: public housing

In this Webinar series, Museum het Schip joins forces with Heritage hands-on, Pusat Dokumentasi Arsitektur, and Yayasan Museum Arsitektur Indonesia to explore these relations by inviting heritage experts, historians, architects, curators, and artists.

What is the history and current state of public housing in the Netherlands and Indonesia? How has public housing emerged? And how did the Dutch Housing Act of 1901 influence public housing in the Dutch East Indies? Do ideas from colonial urban planning and public housing still resonate today? Which initiatives existed and can we learn from them today? In this final Webinar, the speakers try to answer these questions.

I would like to join the daily guided tour, do I need to make a reservation?

No. The guided tours of Museum Het Schip and De Dageraad are included in your ticket and do not require a reservation. Would you like to join the tour with 10 persons or more? Please contact the museum by email (info@hetschip.nl) or phone (+31 20-6868595)
I would like to get a private guided tour with my own group. Do I need to make a reservation?

Yes. For private guided tours we kindly ask you to make a reservation by email (info@hetschip.nl) or phone (+31 20-6868595). For private tours we charge an additional fee of €5,00 per person, with a minimum of 10 persons.
I am not able to make it to the museum , can I cancel or change my booking to another date?

Rescheduling or cancellation of your booking is possible up to 14 days before the date for which the booking has been made. Thereafter you will be charged for the full booking.

I would like to buy a ticket online, but I don’t have acces to online banking. What should I do?

Please contact the museum on info@hetschip.nl or +31 20-6868595. In most cases we can arrange an invoice, or you can pay the tickets during your visit.
What are the parking facilities around the museum?

There are sufficient parking facilities around the museum. Please mind the fact that all parking lots in the Spaarndammer-area need to be paid for, as well on Sundays!

The event I booked a ticket for, has been cancelled by the museum. Will my ticket be refunded?

When the museum is forced to cancel an event because of unforeseen circumstances, we will contact you for a suiting alternative or refund of the ticketprice.
